June in Pequannock: A Guide to Events

By Christopher Lotito

...by no means an exhaustive list...

Pequannock will kick off a busy June schedule with the Run for Marge event at 8am on Sunday June 10th at Greenview Park, followed by the First Reformed Church of Pompton Plains' Annual Picnic at Friendship Hall on the Newark Pompton Turnpike, followed immediately thereafter by the Pequannock Street Fair in Pequannock's Business District North around the historic Jones Hardware building.  Run for Marge is an annual charitable fundraiser entering its 10th year, more information is available here: http://www.compuscore.com/cs2012/june/0610marge.pdf

The Pequannock Historic District Commission will hold a free open house during the Street Fair at the Pequannock History Museum in the historic Pompton Plains Station on Evans Place.
June 12th is the last day to register for PV Park Membership at a discounted rate.  Rate rise $10 after that date.  Most members find the best deal is a 2 person membership at $80 apiece: http://peqtwp.org/Documents/2012%20PV%20Park%20Membership%20Fees.pdf

The following weekend, Pequannock's Relay for Life will go overnight from June 15th to 16th: http://peqtwp.org/Documents/RELAY%20FOR%20LIFE.PDF
